Miami Dolphin Concussion Scandal
On September 25, the Miami Dolphins faced the Buffalo Bills. During the first half of this game, Miami’s starting quarterback Tua Tangaviloa got violently thrown to the turf by a Bills defensive player. After getting up, it is obvious to the viewer that Tua did not seem right because after taking his first few steps he stumbled back to the ground. He ended up returning to this game and leading the Dolphins to a 21-19 victory.
There were already rumors spreading that Tua was allowed back into the game after being diagnosed with a concussion, which is against the NFL policies. In the very next game against the Cincinnati Bengals, in the second quarter of the game, Tua was again thrown to the turf but this time he didn’t get up and he was knocked unconscious with his fingers flexed up, which according to experts, is the first sign of major brain damage. Tua was later carted off the field and transported to a local hospital. We later learned that Tua regained consciousness and movement in all his body parts. Tua’s status is not yet listed but he has been ruled out for the following game.
