He survives the plane crash and is left to live by himself in the Canadian wilderness with only a hatchet and 20 dollars that his mom gave him before the trip. 2.) The Wild Robot by Peter Brown
The story is about a robot named Roz who gets stranded on an island after a cargo ship carrying boxes of robots sinks in a storm. During the time she is on the island she befriends the animals and becomes a mother figure to a baby goose. This book contains 202 pages and includes some great illustrations. The next book is The Wild Robot Escapes and hopefully there are more books to come. The books genre is fiction and the book first got published in April, 2016.
3.) The Boys Who Challenged Hitler by Phillip Hoose
This nonfiction book is about a boy named Knud during the Nazi invasion of Norway. Knud wants to fight back. He knows that he can’t do it by himself and he and his friends create the Churchill Club, named after the great British leader Winston Churchill. They start blowing up Nazi’s vans and other automobiles. Later in the book they start stealing weapons and ammo from the Germans. Couple years later they are caught and sent to jail. This book was published on May, 2015 and became a huge success winning awards like the Boston Globe and other awards.
4.) Because of Mr. Terupt by Rob Buyea
Because of Mr. Terupt by Rob Buyea is about six different characters and their relationship with their teacher. In the middle of the book one of the main characters throws a snowball at Mr. Terupt’s head and he gets hurt. Will he return from his injury? Well read to find out! This book was published in 2010 and has 263 pages. There are the also following books such as Mr. Terupt Falls Again, and Saving Mr. Terupt.
5.) Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt
Tuck Everlasting written by Natalie Babbitt is about Winnie Foster. and her relationship between a strange family. She lives in Treegap with her parents and grandma. The problem is that Winnie’ s mom and Grandma always keep a eye on her and are very strict. She decides to run away from home. While running away, she gets scared and only goes so far as to the woods around her house. When she is in the woods she meets Jesse Tuck and his whole family. But Winnie doesn’t realize is that the Tucks are everlasting or immortal. This book was published in 1975 and has 139 pages.
6.) My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George
My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George is about Sam Gribley running away from his home in New York. During his time in the woods he trains a paragon falcon and he makes a friend with a teacher nicknamed Bando. This book is an Adventure Fiction book with a lot of plot twists. This book was published in 1959.
