New Faces at Ross

By Lila Nahrgang and Olivia Shekou

This year we have multiple new faces joining our community. They include Mrs. Lubamersky, Mr. Krathamer, Mrs. Schmidt, and Ms. Nugent. The following includes individual interviews with each new face here at Ross School.

Mrs.Lubamersky

Our first new face at Ross is our new principal, Mrs. Lubamersky. Mrs. Lubamersky has been in the teaching field for 25 years and has worked as a school administrator for 5 years. Mrs. Lubamersky has been living in the Bay Area for 25 years. When asked what her favorite hobby is, she mentioned, “putting her feet up and reading a good book!” She also has a scuba certification and is fluent in Spanish. She also mentioned how much she already loved the Ross School community and looks forward to getting to know everyone.

Mr.Krathamer

The next new face at Ross is Mr.Krathamer, who previously worked at Bel Aire school, Tiburon. When asked about what he finds different about Ross he answered “the whole school is inside one building, at Bel Aire you spend a lot of time walking outside buildings.” Mr. K also enjoys the light and silly aspects of Ross School.

Mrs. Nugent

When asked about her profession, 5th-grade teacher, Mrs. Nugent commented, “I have always loved school and love learning as a kid and I still love learning today. I wanted to show other students how learning can inspire them to do amazing things.” This is Mrs. Nugent’s first year teaching and she loves the collaborative atmosphere at Ross School.

Our final new face joining Ross school is Mrs. Schmidt, our new school nurse. Mrs. Schmidt worked at USC for 20 years. Her motivation for being a nurse was due to her mother, who too was a nurse. During her free time she mentioned, “I love to go camping with my husband and two daughters”.
