Best places to trick or treat
By: Elle Prezzano
Halloween is coming up and I wanted to share my thoughts on two local places to go trick-or-treating. Two great places to go trick or treating are Shady Lane and windship. Here are my suggestions on why one might be better for older or younger children.
Shady Lane attracts people from many neighbors and it’s great for older kids as well as adults, and it usually gets busy around 6pm. Shady lane has lots of houses that are going to have smoke machines and give out full size candy bars. Unlike last year, the Shady Lane road is going to be closed down to all cars, so this year it will be way safer and kids can walk on the road rather than the sidewalk and it possibly might even get busier.
Windship is another amazing place to go trick or treating, it’s great for younger kids. It also has tons of houses. Windship has less traffic so it’s safer for kids, and if you find the right houses you can get full sized candy bars. Trick-or-treating also starts early on Winship which is another advantage for families with younger children.
Hope to see everyone out trick-or-treating!
